You took your kids to Atlantic City?!?!

Yes we took our kids to Atlantic City during their Spring break!  A friend goes to Oceans Hotel with her kiddos a lot and so we wanted to check it out. There was a lot to do for kids and I even have a little insider information after talking to a general manager at Ocean's Hotel on Atlantic City for kids.

We stayed at Ocean's Casino and Resort for 4 days and 3 nights. You honestly could spend your entire time here. The rooms were nice and there is a ton of amenities. They have a gorgeous indoor and outdoor pool, with a hot tub. There is Bangz Salon and the prices are not bad at all. There is also a spa where you can go for massages, pedicures, facials etc. They have shopping and also a very nice gym. I was shocked at how big the gym area was and how much equipment they had.

There is restaurants for days here. They have 15 different options with a 16th one opening soon. They range from upscale dining to quick casual dining. We only ate a few places because there was other places we wanted to try out in town. We went to Mai Kai for breakfast and it was delicious. My husband got steak and eggs. I got a bacon and cheese egg omelet that came with home fries. Which took up my entire plate! The boys got pancakes and said that they were delicious. The prices were very reasonable also.

We grabbed pizza the one day for lunch from Rocco's. The slices are so big, they have to cut them in half so you can manage to eat them! The best part, it was only $7.00 for a pepperoni slice!!

This resort also has a Top Golf and of course we had try it out. For an hour in a suite, it is only $50.00. We managed to play every sport. If you have a group bigger than 6, I would definitely add another suite or ask about additional time. I was shocked at how good the food was. I won't even lie, I didn't have high expectations for the food. The drinks were also great. You could actually taste the alcohol and it didn't feel like you just paid for juice.

My step dad has always wanted to eat at Wahlburgers and this resort has one. So we had lunch there one day. They do have a kids menu! So, bonus points there for that. Another great option I would definitely suggest for a lunch spot. The sizes were perfect.

In the lobby area they have a pretty decent size fish tank and the boys loved stopping at it every time we passed by. Also in the lobby area was a bar. They can make the drinks in a plastic cup for you to take back to your room. There is also a place called Cafféccino! It is a 24 hour spot that offers pastries, coffee, latte, or cappuccino. Or you can grab salads, wraps, grain bowls and flatbread pizzas at whatever time of day your cravings desire. This is a must stop! I could have gotten a pastry every time we went by it.

Of course they have a huge selection of slots and tables. There is also a nightclub here and they do have shows.

I know I am missing a ton of stuff about this hotel, but I am telling you. You need to check this place out!! https://www.theoceanac.com/atlantic-city-resort/

One of the restaurants we had dinner reservations for is The Sugar Factory. Jamo and I went to the one in New York City, but we wanted to go to one as a family. This place never disappoints and the boys eyes were so huge when they came out with their milkshakes. Jamo got the same one he did in NYC, tie dye milkshake. Corby got the Cookie Monster Milkshake. My mom, step dad and I got a few drinks. You definitely need to get one of their drinks!

On our way out of town, we had lunch at Vagabond. I googled if they had any places on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I have heard that these places usually go down hill for their quality after appearing on the show. Simply because of the increase of people coming to them now. Might be true for other spots, but definitely not for this place! I seriously wish we had this restaurant back home. Our waiter was awesome and he was a huge foodie! My mouth was literally watering eating my sandwich. Which had pulled pork, bacon and brisket on it. I was in a food coma for sure! Seriously, add this to your list when you go here! Here is their website https://www.vagabondac.com/

Ok now onto the kids stuff. Besides Top Golf at our resort. There is other things to do and attractions coming soon! Right next to us is Showboat. That is no longer a casino and is now a massive arcade. They have old pinball machines to modern games. They even have a sweet gamer room. The prizes are also totally worth it. Grills to legos to designer items to autographed sports items. They had prizes for everyone. Also, on Tuesdays the tickets are doubled. They just recently broke ground for the indoor/outdoor water park they are building. It should be completed by Summer of 2022.  https://www.theluckysnake.com/

Another spot that we went to was Central Pier Arcade. Unfortunately it rained the day we went here. So we didn't get to do two of the things we really wanted to do. They have go-karts all year round and also a paintball range. The arcade was a blast and my boys were in heaven seeing the entranced lined with claw machines. They had basketballs, squishmallows, Among Us, Popits and so much more in them! The staff is amazing. At one point, the one guy was cheering on the boys at this one game and gave them high fives! https://centralpierarcade.com/

Right outside this arcade is a tribute to 9/11. They also have a small piece from the World Trade Centers.

When you're at the beach, a candy store is a must do. So we checked out It'Sugar Candy Store. This place was huge and met all your candy needs! The staff was incredible with kids. They were interacting with our boys and laughing away. Definitely stop by here! https://itsugar.com/

We did spend some time on the beach looking for sea glass and seashells to take home. The boys took home a nice size bag from collecting.

They also have a Lighthouse there that you can tour. We stopped by to check it out. This was our boys first time seeing one. They have information all around the lighthouse to learn about the history of it. They also have events here and you can even do a sleepover! https://www.abseconlighthouse.org/

There is an aquarium here, but they are currently doing renovations to make it bigger and better. https://www.acnj.gov/pages/acaquarium/

There is a ton more to do here, but we ran out of time. There is a RainForest Cafe here, Imax Theater that has kids movies, shows, Ripleys, tanger Outlets and soon even more kid things to do! The end of the boardwalk that we stayed at, they are actually in the process of making it more kid orientated. We are excited to see what they do and we will be planning a trip back here!

Below is some other places we wanted to checkout, but didn't get to.

-Casa Taco and Tequila Bar

-Historic Smithville

-Brittany's Cafe

-Tacos El Tio

-Tony Boloney's

-Lucy The Elephant
